Postcards, weblog

MAS-SAMple is an artist-led initiative based in the North East of England, embracing contemporary artistic practice and dialogue within the Caribbean Diaspora. Founded in 2007 by artists Andrea Macdonald and Sheree Mack, this initiative aims to provide a platform for artists and organisations working at the intersection of visual arts, live performance and literature.
The brief for the logo was create a symbol that would translate well as a rubber stamp, with the suggestion of global travel and communication. We also wanted to incorporate some kind of Caribbean cultural reference.
The logo elements from traditional Caribbean vernacular architectural detailing and craft work.
